I see a red door and i want to paint it black.
This post is about the past year. Perhaps appropriately, i noticed that this will be my 365th post on this blog, lending a nice touch of symmetry to the content of the post.
It's been a rough year, to say the very least. So rough that it makes you reconsider whether it's worth it to get up everyday and invest your everything into things. Makes you re-evaluate a lot of the things in your life, and think of the person you are. Plus there has been a ton of things to be disappointed about. It's really easy to get dejected about life, i suppose. So much is out of your control, things can be going well at one point and just suddenly get really bad so quickly.
I'll get over it soon enough (or at least i always do), but today's a day for mourning.
A somewhat uplifting song to end the day. Initially i thought this is something i don't usually listen to, but then i realised the singer is really the frontman of Interpol in disguise. It kinda made sense after that. The lyrics are somewhat optimistic, about a hard time and how things will get better (thereby fitting into the theme for the day). But what i really love is when the bass line kicks in near the start of the song. It's not my usual fare, but it's lovely.
