Listening to: Lua by Bright Eyes
Please watch this, it's nice. Nice is good.

It's beautiful ih a fragile way, the way snow melting is beautiful.
And this, the description says it all, doesn't it?

Bright Eyes is beautiful, but it's difficult at times cause it's so intense. I half wish people would listen more to such songs, and see that emotion doesn't come in a plastic wrapper. It doesn't have to be played on a radio. After all, such raw emotions are personal, aren't they?
The other half of me, though, wishes such songs are kept in a little corner of my world, shared with those i really care about. That the 'rest' of the world wouldn't appreciate them and don't deserve them. It's selfish and has a hint of elitism (you're too dumb to love it) and it makes me feel guilty. I guess it's similar to seeing your child grow up and leave you, and in some ways you detest it, cause a part of you - a personal part of you, is being yanked away, and inevitably it hurts.
It reminds me of mel, when dashboard's hands down was played on 987, or me when switchfoot did that whole thing with meant to live, and you know as you heard them, it's never the same again.
I hardly listen to switchfoot anymore, it's part transition, part of the fan who got disappointed (picture a hardcore fan who yells 'sellout'). I'm hardly the hardcore fan, per se. and i can picture a couple of bums squirming uncomfortably or amused (bemused) at what they could interpret as pretentiousness, but music is very important to me and that's why i think so much about it.
A last song to end this post,
