listening to: Swiss Army Romance by Dashboard Confessional

Sleep with all the lights on. You're not so happy. You're not secure. You're dying to look cute in your blue jeans, but you're plastic just like everyone. You're just like everyone. And that face you paint is pressed impressing most of us as permanent and i'd like to see you undone.

swiss army romance, dashboard.

feel strange. sad? no i dont want to be sad. i have nothing to be sad about. maybe im just tired.

pretty addicted to this song. i have sudden favourite songs and i like to listen to them (or it) repeatedly. like. 20 times in a row or something. this song is pretty. clever, like dashboard usually is. wow, there is something really beautiful about this song. haha.

anyway, i need new music. (hmm what type) i think i'll get some new cds with my money. i like buying cds. many people just rip music off, most of the time as singles. but listening to the entire cd really tells you a lot about the artiste. example? kanye west's 'college dropout'. the cd flows amazingly. of course, you get some 'filler' tracks. which are rubbish or of inferior quality. and are just there to make up the numbers. still, some gems that you never would've heard of can be discovered. example, 'amsterdam' on coldplay's 'a rush of..' is really amazing. so is 'green eyes'. neither were released as singles, so. without buying the cd, i wouldnt have heard of those two tracks.

maybe i lack some upbeat music. like a franz ferdinand. and some really unplugged stuff. and i could use some indie-type bands. like death cab. transatlanticism is on my list, for sure. and maybe finally i can get that learning to breathe album by switchfoot. wow, old school switchfoot. how exciting. well. we'll see how much i get first. whether its enough for the stupid 'imported' sticker they paste on those old switchfoot cds and other lesser known bands.

okay i really need to sleep now. well, not really now. time enough to play swiss army again. good night, folks.
