listening to: Time Of Your Life by Greenday
"So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind.
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time"
i could post about something else,
but i would be lying to myself.
all i really wanna talk about is 4/6.
there's a danger of living in the past,
at a time when looking ahead is crucial.
but, im willing to take this risk.
besides, after blogger erased my entry twice,
there are some things left unsaid.
words won't do full justice to my feelings,
but i'll try my best to convey my message
with my limited vocabulary.
at the risk of sounding cheesy:
it still feels rather awkward,
to know that im no longer part of 4/6.
i've taken for granted the daily routine
of getting up at 6.10am,
wearing that white and green uniform,
meeting mingxun,
sleeping on the bus,
and eventually entering the schoolgrounds.
i've been doing it for such a long time,
that somewhere along the way,
it turned into a chore.
i mean,
it's 6.10am?!
but now that i've graduated,
it doesn't seem such a chore anymore.
suddenly, it seems so much better.
i mean,
meeting a familiar face in the morning.
entering a school which i attended for 10 years.
now,
it seems like there's no better way to start a day.
gerard will ask me,
why am i treating this last day thing so seriously?
cause it may be the last time we see, talk to each other?
cause it probably IS the last time i'll talk to the likes of
weiss, guansheng and tze jung?
cause im not going for grad night?
cause by the time i return from prague,
it'll be december?
sherman assures me,
we will still be friends after everything.
ahh. but sherms,
the future is never certain.
we could try our darnest to sustain this and
somehow, some way, it may not turn out well.
that's not saying i won't try my darnest.
so, while the memories are still fresh,
while i still feel comfortable enough to talk about this,
while the emotions are still there,
i really just wanna tell 4/6 how much they'll be missed.
thanks for your time guys.
"Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial.
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while."
oh, by the way,
happy birthday sherman.
take care and see you'll around.
