listening to: Casper by Iron Grip

the end.

so this is it. after two and a half years, it's the end of choir for me. just as liang hao says, it's a bittersweet experience. bitter cause sometimes the bitching gets overboard, and sweet cause i met friends there and we won loads of things. joining choir was quite a wild thing to do, since i was a member of NCC air before i jumped ship. in fact, i was about to go for the silver wing course when i jumped to choir. i wasn't sure why i did it then, i still am not sure now. maybe i was bored by NCC, maybe it was peer pressure (i was surrounded by choir people in 2-3). i don't really know, as with alot of things in my life. alas, i did what i did and it turned out the way it did.

i can still remember my choir trial. i was standing nervously before the conductor, trying my best to sing. that's not easy with choir people surrounding you, speculating about what section i was going to be in. the notes went lower, i sang lower. and in the end i was in bass 2 (that's the lowest section in the choir btw). and the first person i spoke to was benjamin tan, the choir VP.

throughout the 2 and a half years, i've been through four performances, three choir camps, one SYF and one international choral competition. we've won everything we wanted to win. SYF gold with one of the top three songs in the competition (janger), category winner for the international competiton. we've danced to the beats of super trouper, made weird noises in janger and sang pieces that just don't make much sense.

from gabriel cheow to tan kang seng to guo hui.

and it all ends today. goodbye choir and thanks for the memories.
