listening to: Hands Down by Dashboard Confessional

stay quiet. stay clear.

hmm. yet another flashback. this time to a soccer match. another one in the defining year of secondary. the match is secondary 2/3 versus 2/2. the equation was simple. 2/3 laid bottom of their group. a win was needed for a chance of survival. fast foward to half time. 2/3 was ahead, thanks to a penalty from marcus sim. half way through the second half. it's 2-0. surely now, we can't be caught. then, the nightmare begun. first, one goal. they pressed and pressed. and in the final minute, an equaliser. painfully, two of the 2/3 players cried. five minutes of injury time. and painfully, a third goal. 2-3 to 2/2. i remember this one because of the raw emotions involved. pure sadness. pain.

another fave match of mine was the all-stars tournament. it was the ultimate honour. respect from your peers. weirdly enough. i didn't get selected. from my class, gabriel and marcus sim did. but gab, didn't want to play, so i filled in. i only played one match. and as a sub. but two things stick to my mine. the warm-ups. which was absolutely shocking. they did passing, in a circle, without the ball touching the ground. that's supreme. and the next was the goal we let in while i was on the field. it came from my left flank. (ouch.) and i remember it so distinctly. the right midfielder dribbling down, me and two others chasing. we didn't win the thing. but hey, we had fun.

okay. im going. tml continue. toodles. take care ya'll.
